As a designer and maker, I aspire to create jewellery that tells a story. I work primarily in sterling silver and gold and incorporate natural materials that have been found, reclaimed and recycled. I am environmentally minded and therefore aim to elevate organic objects such as silk cocoons and driftwood into wearable and collectable works of art jewellery from my workshop on the coast in Zennor, Cornwall using traditional silversmithing techniques.
When you order from me, whether it's your first or tenth time, you become part of the Mala family. During your search for the perfect piece of handmade ethical jewellery, I will help you through the process.
The techniques that I use in my designs ensure that no two pieces of jewellery are exactly the same. This means that you can be comfortable in the knowledge that you are wearing a truly unique work of wearble art made by a qualified silversmith that has been inspired by my surroundings. All made in Cornwall in my workshop in Zennor, which lies above the high, rocky cliffs of the coast, the granite hills and moors.
What's not to love!
Check out my sterling silver cocoon rings, brooches, hats and hair pins for inspiration! Would you like me to design and make a unique piece of handmade ethical jewellery for you? Having cast raw silkworm cocoons in sterling silver you can choose between two sizes, your preferred finish and a variety of handmade ring shanks to suit your individual style. These cocoons will also become part of an exciting new project that I am working on... watch this space.
